Mash (getmash.com) would also be an easy + advanced way to add lightning to experiences – integrated lightning wallet into apps + sites and paid-for-experience web-components.

Sorry this getmash is just a crap custodial account in a "crypto" bank, is not a real wallet. stop using these bullshit apps.

Appreciate the perspective. It is moving to a model like this to support all levels – full invoice coordination across protocols with external nodes on both sides – https://www.loom.com/share/5c7214171e7f4626b72a7e3b519c84ba

At the current state there are strong similarities in terms of the other beginner apps you mentioned w/ interoperable send/receive, no lock-in which is why I asked – it's meant to use for small amounts to spend only. Interested in hearing more on your perspective.

I am not totally against using a custodial LN wallet, for certain amount and use. But when I see that in order to use BTC/LN I have to give up user, names, IDs etc... that is not anymore a good use of BTC/LN, we are going into a slippery slope. Be aware!

Yo Darth, Nunchuk is neither privacy nor security focused.

No verifiable source for clients.

No tor.

False marketing for nearly half a year about e2ee.

How private ? How sec? Please check.

Don't trust, verify.

As you can see, is mentioned as being ONLY a onchain wallet. In this guide I covered only LN wallets. I personally tested once Nunchuck and just to see what is about. After that I uninstall it. Not useful for me.

I think that this is an excelent resource, very honest and detailed. The only aspect I do not agree with you on is the amount of Sats to open channels. Isee 1 Sat = 1 USD in my mind so opening a 1 Million Sats channel is, in my honest opinion, perfectly acceptable. People will be transferring in the order of 10-2000 Sats and salaries will be around 3000 Sats one day.

Opening small channels have a higher cost that you can imagine. Each opening and closing will cost you a miner fee and even that now are low, soon will be very expensive.

You open a channel to transact on it for long time, not to close it. More space you have = more txs you can do in time.

Do the math: opening 10 channels of 10k sats or 1-2 channels of 5-10M sats ? What are the costs of opening and closing these. Also take in consideration the commit_fee that can vary.
