Naturgy should probably be deleted from the list, they told me they are still "implementing" the possibility to pay with bitcoin. The option simply does not appear, I try to pay online, and only Bizum and card payment appear.
How long have they been "implementing"? They announced this in 2022.
But they happily claim in their FAQ that bitcoin payments are available: https://www.naturgy.es/gl/axuda/preguntas_xestions_frecuentes/pagar_facturas_criptomonedas . Funny thing is they only claim this in Galician version of their FAQ, and probably in Basque version, but not in Spanish version.
Lesson: "don't trust, verify" also applies to companies which claim to support bitcoin payments.
Possible improvements of the list:
- say whether they accept lightning (I don't know who could be so stupid and only accept btc on chain, but there is Co(i)nbase, Binance. SWAN just recently started testing lightning.)
- does it require KYC? It seems Bity.com doesn´t for small amounts (< 1000 CHF/day) , probably true for all Swiss based entities.
